I agree with the above statement. As humans we do not consider serious enough of the fact that our natural resources are limited. Global competition forces each country, corporation and individual to over produce and develop and in the process using up valuable natural resources such as water, air, ozone, soil and etc. In other words we are using natural resources at an unsustainable rate which will have adverse consequences to the future generations.

I believe biodiversity is very important and yet it often stands in the way of the profit making purposes of multinational corporations. Patented seeds and GMOs are examples of such. I find our class discussion today intellectually stimulating as all the comments were very insightful and informative.
