I found Clorox Regular Bleach, detergent from Sun Products, and Dr. Bronner's Magic soap under my kitchen and bathroom sinks. The active ingredient for the bleach is sodium hypochlorite. In addition it also contains sodium chlorite, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide. The ingredients for the detergent are sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate, ethoxylated lauryl alcohol, sodium silicate. The ingredients for the magic soap are water, organic coconut Oil, potassium hydroxide, organic olive oil, organic hemp oil, organic jojoba oil, natural almond fragrance, citric acid, tocopherol.

The article on low fat diet vs Mediterranean diet is very interesting. Even though low fat diet lowers cholesterol level it does not reduce heart diseases which previously were thought to be closely related to high cholesterol. It shows that our body and it's relation to nutrient is more complicated than our present scientific knowledge. In situations like this we should probably trust tradition in our daily life more than the latest scientific researches. As the traditional way of eating is the result of trial and error through many generations it is in many ways more “scientifically proven" than modern scientific research.
